یہاں “دنیا” سے مراد انسانی معاشرہ اور وہ نظام بھی ہو سکتا ہے جو خدا کی مرضی کے خلاف چلتا ہے۔ یوحنا ایمانداروں کو بتاتا ہے کہ انہیں ہر شخص کی طرف سے سمجھا جانا یا قبول کیا جانا ضروری نہیں۔
ایک مسیحی کبھی کبھی اس لیے دوسروں سے مختلف نظر آ سکتا ہے کیونکہ وہ خدا کے کلام کے مطابق زندگی گزارنے کی کوشش کرتا ہے۔ جہاں دوسروں کے لیے بدلہ لینا آسان ہو، وہاں مسیحی معافی کا راستہ اختیار کر سکتا ہے۔ جہاں جھوٹ فائدہ دے سکتا ہو، وہاں وہ سچ بولنے کا انتخاب کر سکتا ہے۔ جہاں خود غرضی عام ہو، وہاں وہ دوسروں کی مدد کرنے کی کوشش کر سکتا ہے۔

اس میں سچ بولنا، دوسروں کے ساتھ رحم کرنا، ضرورت مندوں کی مدد کرنا، معاف کرنا، نفرت سے بچنا، برائی سے دور رہنا اور خدا کے کلام کے مطابق زندگی گزارنا شامل ہے۔
اس آیت کا پیغام یہ نہیں کہ ایماندار دنیا کے لوگوں سے نفرت کرے۔ بلکہ مسیحی کو دوسروں سے محبت کرتے ہوئے اپنے ایمان میں قائم رہنا چاہیے۔
روحانی حوصلہ
