Genesis 1:1

Verse: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth English Explanation: This verse establishes that the universe had a beginning and was created by an eternal God. It asserts that matter is not eternal; rather, it was brought into existence by the Divine will. Urdu Explanation: یہ آیت اس حقیقت کو واضح کرتی ہے کہ کائنات کی ایک شروعات تھی اور اسے ابدی خدا نے پیدا کیا۔ یہ اس بات کی تصدیق کرتی ہے کہ مادہ ہمیشہ سے نہیں تھا بلکہ خدا کے حکم سے وجود میں آیا۔

Genesis 1:2

Verse: And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters English Explanation: Before the specific days of creation, the earth was in a state of chaos and darkness. The presence of the Spirit of God indicates that God was preparing to bring order and life out of this emptiness. Urdu Explanation: تخلیق کے باقاعدہ دنوں سے پہلے زمین بے ترتیب اور خالی تھی اور ہر طرف تاریکی تھی۔ خدا کی روح کا پانیوں پر جنبش کرنا اس بات کی علامت تھا کہ خدا اس خالی پن میں ترتیب اور زندگی پیدا کرنے والا ہے۔

Genesis 1:3-5 (The First Day)

Verse: And God said Let there be light and there was light. And God saw the light that it was good, and God divided the light from the darkness, and God called the light Day and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. English Explanation: God created light simply by His word. This light was separated from darkness to establish the first cycle of time (Day and Night), which God declared as “good.” Urdu Explanation: خدا نے صرف اپنے کلام سے روشنی پیدا کی۔ اس روشنی کو تاریکی سے الگ کر کے وقت کا پہلا چکر (دن اور رات) قائم کیا گیا جسے خدا نے “اچھا” قرار دیا۔

Genesis 1:6-8 (The Second Day)

Verse: And God said Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters And God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament and it was so And God called the firmament Heaven And the evening and the morning were the second day English Explanation: God created an expanse (the atmosphere) to separate the waters on the earth from the moisture in the sky. This expanse was named Heaven (Sky). Urdu Explanation: خدا نے زمین کے پانیوں اور فضا کے پانیوں کے درمیان ایک فاصلہ یا “فضا” بنائی۔ اس فضا کو خدا نے آسمان کا نام دیا، جو زمین کے گرد ایک حفاظتی غلاف کی مانند ہے۔

Genesis 1:9-13 (The Third Day)

Verse: (Summarized: God gathered the waters to let dry land appear and commanded the earth to bring forth grass herbs and fruit trees) English Explanation: On the third day, God organized the physical geography by creating seas and dry land. He then instantly brought forth all forms of vegetation, emphasizing that life comes from His command. Urdu Explanation: تیسرے دن خدا نے سمندروں اور خشک زمین کو الگ کیا۔ اس کے بعد زمین سے گھاس، سبزہ اور پھلدار درخت پیدا کیے، جس سے زندگی کی نشوونما شروع ہوئی۔

Genesis 1:14-19 (The Fourth Day)

Verse: (Summarized: God created the sun moon and stars to divide day from night and for signs seasons days and years) English Explanation: God created the celestial bodies to serve as timekeepers for the earth. The sun rules the day, the moon rules the night, and they establish seasons and years for human activity. Urdu Explanation: خدا نے سورج، چاند اور ستاروں کو بنایا تاکہ وہ وقت، موسموں اور سالوں کا تعین کر سکیں۔ سورج دن پر اور چاند رات پر حکمرانی کے لیے مقرر کیے گئے۔

Genesis 1:20-23 (The Fifth Day)

God filled the oceans with fish and whales and the sky with birds, blessing them to be fruitful and multiply. Genesis 1:24-25

Human beings are unique because they carry the “image of God,” giving them moral capacity and authority (dominion) over the rest of creation. Urdu Explanation: یہ تخلیق کا عروج ہے۔ انسان کو خدا نے اپنی شبیہ پر پیدا کیا، جس کا مطلب ہے کہ اسے اخلاقی سمجھ اور کائنات پر حکمرانی کا اختیار دیا گیا ہے۔

Genesis 1:29-31
