2 Kings 9:8
Verse: For the whole house of Ahab shall perish and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall and him that is shut up and left in Israel

English Explanation: God declares a total end to Ahab’s lineage. No male heir, whether free or bond (slave), will survive. This represents a complete judicial sweep of a corrupt dynasty.

Urdu Explanation: اللہ تعالٰیٰ نے اخی اب کے پورے خاندان کی ہلاکت کا اعلان کیا۔ اس کا کوئی بھی وارث، خواہ وہ آزاد ہو یا غلام، زندہ نہیں بچے گا۔ یہ ایک بدعنوان خاندان کے مکمل خاتمے کا نشان ہے۔
2 Kings 9:9
Verse: And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah

English Explanation: Ahab’s house is compared to two previous dynasties (Jeroboam and Baasha) that were utterly wiped out because of their idolatry and rebellion against God.

2 Kings 9:10
Verse: And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel and there shall be none to bury her And he opened the door and fled

English Explanation: A specific, gruesome prophecy against Queen Jezebel. She will not receive a royal burial; instead, dogs will consume her. After delivering this heavy word, the young prophet fled.

Urdu Explanation: ملکہ ایزبل کے خلاف ایک ہولناک پیشگوئی کہ اسے دفن نصیب نہیں ہوگا بلکہ کتے اسے کھائیں گے۔ یہ کلام سنانے کے بعد نوجوان نبی وہاں سے بھاگ گیا۔
2 Kings 9:11
Verse: Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord and one said unto him Is all well wherefore came this mad fellow to thee And he said unto them Ye know the man and his communication

Verse: And they said It is false tell us now And he said Thus and thus spake he to me saying Thus saith the LORD I have anointed thee king over Israel

2 Kings 9:13
Verse: Then they hasted and took every man his garment and put it under him on the top of the stairs and blew with trumpets saying Jehu is king

English Explanation: His comrades immediately show loyalty by laying their clothes down (a sign of submission) and proclaiming his kingship with trumpets.

2 Kings 9:14–15
Verse: So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram Now Joram had kept Ramoth-gilead he and all Israel because of Hazael king of Syria But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him when he fought with Hazael king of Syria And Jehu said If it be your minds then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel

Verse: So Jehu rode in a chariot and went to Jezreel for Joram lay there And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel and he spied the company of Jehu as he came and said I see a company And Joram said Take an horseman and send to meet them and let him say Is it peace

Verse: So there went one on horseback to meet him and said Thus saith the king Is it peace And Jehu said What hast thou to do with peace turn thee behind me… Then he sent out a second on horseback… And Jehu answered What hast thou to do with peace turn thee behind me

Verse: And the watchman told saying He came even unto them and cometh not again and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi for he driveth furiously

English Explanation: The watchman recognizes Jehu’s signature driving style—he drives “furiously” (recklessly/fast), showing his intense and aggressive nature.

2 Kings 9:21–22
Verse: And Joram said Make ready… And it came to pass when Joram saw Jehu that he said Is it peace Jehu And he answered What peace so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many

English Explanation: Joram meets Jehu at the field of Naboth. When Joram asks for peace, Jehu rebukes him, citing the spiritual adultery and witchcraft of Joram’s mother, Jezebel.

2 Kings 9:23–24
Verse: And Joram turned his hands and fled and said to Ahaziah There is treachery O Ahaziah And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength and smote Jehoram between his arms and the arrow went out at his heart and he sunk down in his chariot

English Explanation: Realizing the betrayal, Joram tries to flee, but Jehu shoots an arrow with such force that it pierces Joram’s heart, killing him instantly.

2 Kings 9:25–26
Verse: Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain Take up and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite… Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons saith the LORD and I will requite thee in this plat saith the LORD

English Explanation: Jehu orders Joram’s body to be thrown into Naboth’s field. This fulfills the prophecy that Ahab’s family would pay for the murder of Naboth on that very ground.

2 Kings 9:27–28
Verse: But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this he fled… And Jehu followed after him and said Smite him also in the chariot… And he fled to Megiddo and died there And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David

English Explanation: Ahaziah (allied with Ahab’s house) is also attacked. He flees to Megiddo where he dies. Unlike the house of Ahab, he is given a respectful burial in Jerusalem because of his lineage from David.
