
1 Chronicles Chapter 12
Verse 34
Verse: And of Naphtali a thousand captains and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand English Explanation: The tribe of Naphtali contributed a significant military force. The “thousand captains” indicates a highly organized leadership structure, supported by 37,000 heavily armed soldiers ready for combat. Urdu Explanation: نفتالی کے قبیلے سے ایک ہزار سردار آئے اور ان کے ساتھ سینتیس ہزار سپاہی تھے جو ڈھال اور نیزوں سے لیس تھے۔ یہ ان کی جنگی تیاری اور داؤد کی بادشاہت کے لیے ان کی حمایت کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔
Verse 35
Verse: And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred English Explanation: The Danites are specifically highlighted for their military expertise. They brought 28,600 men who were not just soldiers but “experts,” implying specialized training and skill in battle. Urdu Explanation: دانیوں میں سے اٹھائیس ہزار چھ سو ایسے جوان آئے جو جنگ کے ماہر تھے۔ ان کی مہارت اس بات کی علامت تھی کہ داؤد کو ہر شعبے کے ماہرین کی حمایت حاصل تھی۔
Verse 36
Verse: And of Asher such as went forth to battle expert in war forty thousand English Explanation: Asher provided a massive contingent of 40,000 battle-ready troops. This demonstrates the widespread geographical support David received from the northern territories. Urdu Explanation: آشر کے قبیلے سے چالیس ہزار ایسے لوگ نکلے جو جنگ کے فن میں ماہر اور لڑنے کے لیے تیار تھے۔ یہ داؤد کی بڑھتی ہوئی عسکری طاقت کا ثبوت تھا۔
Verse 37
Verse: And on the other side of Jordan of the Reubenites and the Gadites and of the half tribe of Manasseh with all manner of instruments of war for the battle an hundred and twenty thousand English Explanation: The tribes from the East of Jordan (Transjordan) showed immense unity, sending 120,000 men. They brought a diverse array of weaponry, showing they were prepared for any type of warfare. Urdu Explanation: دریائے یردن کے پار سے روبینیوں گادیوں اور منسی کے آدھے قبیلے کے ایک لاکھ بیس ہزار لوگ ہر قسم کے جنگی ہتھیاروں کے ساتھ آئے۔ یہ ایک بہت بڑا لشکر تھا جو مکمل اتحاد کی نشاندہی کرتا تھا۔
Verse 38
Verse: All these men of war that could keep rank came with a perfect heart to Hebron to make David king over all Israel and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king English Explanation: This verse emphasizes the spiritual and political unity of the nation. The soldiers were disciplined (“could keep rank”) and sincere (“perfect heart”), focused solely on crowning David as the legitimate king. Urdu Explanation: یہ تمام جنگجو جو صف بستہ ہونے کی مہارت رکھتے تھے پورے اخلاص کے ساتھ حبرون آئے تاکہ داؤد کو اسرائیل کا بادشاہ بنائیں۔ پورے اسرائیل کا دل ایک تھا کہ داؤد ہی ان کا بادشاہ ہو۔
Verse 39
Verse: And there they were with David three days eating and drinking for their brethren had prepared for them English Explanation: The coronation was a time of communal fellowship. For three days, the tribes celebrated together, emphasizing the hospitality and provision within the newly unified kingdom. Urdu Explanation: وہ تین دن تک داؤد کے ساتھ رہے اور کھاتے پیتے رہے کیونکہ ان کے بھائیوں نے ان کے لیے ضیافت کا انتظام کر رکھا تھا۔ یہ جشن اسرائیل کے نئے عہد کا آغاز تھا۔
Verse 40
Verse: Moreover they that were nigh them even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali brought bread on asses and on camels and on mules and on oxen and meat meal cakes of figs and bunches of raisins and wine and oil and oxen and sheep abundantly for there was joy in Israel English Explanation: The abundance of food brought from all regions symbolizes the prosperity and “joy in Israel” that followed David’s ascension. It was a national sacrifice of praise and celebration. Urdu Explanation: آس پاس کے قبیلوں حتیٰ کہ اشکار زبولون اور نفتالی سے بھی لوگ گدھوں اونٹوں اور بیلوں پر کثرت سے کھانا لائے۔ انجیر کے کیک کشمش مے اور تیل کی فراوانی تھی کیونکہ اسرائیل میں بڑی خوشی تھی۔
1 Chronicles Chapter 13
Verse 1
Verse: And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds and with every leader English Explanation: David practiced collaborative leadership. Before taking a major spiritual step, he consulted with all military and civil leaders to ensure national consensus. Urdu Explanation: داؤد نے ہزاروں اور سینکڑوں کے کپتانوں اور ہر ایک لیڈر سے مشورہ کیا۔ یہ ظاہر کرتا ہے کہ وہ ایک ایسا بادشاہ تھا جو اپنے لوگوں کو ساتھ لے کر چلتا تھا۔
Verse 2
Verse: And David said unto all the congregation of Israel If it seem good unto you and that it be of the LORD our God let us send abroad unto our brethren every where that are left in all the land of Israel and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs that they may gather themselves unto us English Explanation: David proposes gathering the entire nation, including the religious leaders (Priests and Levites), to participate in a spiritual restoration. He emphasizes that the plan must be aligned with God’s will. Urdu Explanation: داؤد نے اسرائیل کی جماعت سے کہا کہ اگر تمہیں پسند ہو اور یہ خدا کی مرضی ہو تو ہم اپنے باقی بھائیوں اور کاہنوں کو بلا لیں تاکہ وہ ہمارے ساتھ جمع ہوں۔
Verse 3
Verse: And let us bring again the ark of our God to us for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul English Explanation: This is a pivotal moment of repentance and redirection. During King Saul’s reign, the Ark (representing God’s presence) was neglected. David seeks to make God the center of national life again. Urdu Explanation: آؤ ہم اپنے خدا کا عہد کا صندوق واپس لے آئیں کیونکہ ساؤل کے دنوں میں ہم نے اس کی پرواہ نہیں کی تھی۔ یہ خدا کی حضوری کو دوبارہ حاصل کرنے کی کوشش تھی۔
Verse 4
Verse: And all the congregation said that they would do so for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people English Explanation: The proposal was met with unanimous approval. The people recognized the spiritual necessity of returning to God. Urdu Explanation: تمام جماعت نے اس بات پر اتفاق کیا کیونکہ یہ کام سب لوگوں کی نظر میں درست تھا۔
Verse 5
Verse: So David gathered all Israel together from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hamath to bring the ark of God from Kirjath-jearim English Explanation: David mobilized the nation from its southern to northern borders (Shihor to Hamath) to participate in the sacred task of moving the Ark. Urdu Explanation: پس داؤد نے مصر کے شیہور سے لے کر حمات تک تمام اسرائیل کو جمع کیا تاکہ خدا کا صندوق قریت یعاریم سے لے آئیں۔
Verse 6
Verse: And David went up and all Israel to Baalah that is to Kirjath-jearim which belonged to Judah to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD that dwelleth between the cherubims whose name is called on it English Explanation: The Ark is described by its spiritual significance—where God dwells between the cherubim. David led the procession to Kirjath-jearim to retrieve it. Urdu Explanation: داؤد اور تمام اسرائیل بعلہ یعنی قریت یعاریم کو گئے تاکہ وہاں سے خدا کے صندوق کو لائیں جہاں رب کروبیوں کے درمیان سکونت کرتا ہے۔
Verse 7
Verse: And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart English Explanation: Although their intentions were good, they made a mistake by placing the Ark on a “new cart” instead of having the Levites carry it on their shoulders as the Law commanded. Urdu Explanation: وہ خدا کے صندوق کو ابینداب کے گھر سے ایک نئی گاڑی پر رکھ کر لائے اور عزہ اور اخیو اس گاڑی کو ہانک رہے تھے۔
Verse 8
Verse: And David and all Israel played before God with all their might and with singing and with harps and with psalteries and with timbrels and with cymbals and with trumpets English Explanation: The atmosphere was one of intense worship and joy. They used every available musical instrument to celebrate God’s presence. Urdu Explanation: داؤد اور تمام اسرائیل پوری طاقت کے ساتھ خدا کے حضور گاتے ہوئے اور ساز بجاتے ہوئے جشن منا رہے تھے۔
Verse 9
Verse: And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark for the oxen stumbled English Explanation: When the oxen stumbled, Uzza reached out to steady the Ark. This was a violation of the Law which forbade touching the sacred object. Urdu Explanation: جب وہ کیدون کے کھلیان تک پہنچے تو بیلوں نے ٹھوکر کھائی اور عزہ نے صندوق کو سنبھالنے کے لیے اپنا ہاتھ بڑھایا۔
Verse 10
Verse: And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza and he smote him because he put his hand to the ark and there he died before God English Explanation: God’s holiness is absolute. Uzza’s death served as a sobering reminder that God must be approached on His terms, not human convenience. Urdu Explanation: خدا کا غضب عزہ پر بھڑکا اور اس نے اسے وہیں مار دیا کیونکہ اس نے صندوق کو ہاتھ لگایا تھا۔ وہ خدا کے حضور وہیں مر گیا۔
Verse 11
Verse: And David was displeased because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza wherefore that place is called Perez-uzza to this day English Explanation: David was both angry and grieved by the sudden tragedy. He named the place Perez-uzza (meaning “outburst against Uzza”) as a memorial of the event. Urdu Explanation: داؤد اس بات سے ناراض اور غمگین ہوا کہ خدا نے عزہ کو ہلاک کیا اور اس جگہ کا نام آج تک “پرض عزہ” کہلاتا ہے۔
Verse 12
Verse: And David was afraid of God that day saying How shall I bring the ark of God home to me English Explanation: David’s joy turned to holy fear. He realized his unworthiness and the danger of mishandling God’s holiness. Urdu Explanation: اس دن داؤد خدا سے ڈر گیا اور کہنے لگا کہ میں خدا کے صندوق کو اپنے پاس کیسے لا سکتا ہوں؟
Verse 13
Verse: So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite English Explanation: Instead of bringing the Ark to Jerusalem, David detoured it to the house of Obed-edom. Urdu Explanation: پس داؤد صندوق کو اپنے شہر نہ لایا بلکہ اسے غتی عبد ادوم کے گھر لے گیا۔
Verse 14
Verse: And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months And the LORD blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that he had English Explanation: During the three months the Ark was with Obed-edom, his entire household was blessed. This showed David that the Ark brought blessing, not just judgment, when respected. Urdu Explanation: خدا کا صندوق تین ماہ تک عبد ادوم کے گھر میں رہا اور خدا نے عبد ادوم کے گھرانے اور اس کے سب مال و متاع پر برکت نازل کی۔
1 Chronicles Chapter 14
Verse 1
Verse: Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David and timber of cedars with masons and carpenters to build him an house English Explanation: King Hiram of Tyre recognized David’s power and established a diplomatic alliance, sending resources to build David a royal palace. Urdu Explanation: صور کے بادشاہ حیرام نے داؤد کے پاس قاصد اور دیودار کی لکڑی اور معمار بھیجے تاکہ اس کے لیے ایک محل تعمیر کریں۔
Verse 2
Verse: And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel for his kingdom was lifted up on high because of his people Israel English Explanation: David realized that his success was not of his own doing but that God had established him for the sake of the nation. Urdu Explanation: داؤد کو یقین ہو گیا کہ خداوند نے اسے اسرائیل کا بادشاہ مقرر کیا ہے اور اس کی بادشاہت کو اس کی قوم اسرائیل کی خاطر بہت سرفراز کیا ہے۔
