1 Chronicles 22:14

Verse: Now behold in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold and a thousand thousand talents of silver and of brass and iron without weight for it is in abundance timber also and stone have I prepared and thou mayest add thereto

He amassed an astronomical amount of gold and silver, along with immeasurable amounts of raw materials like brass, iron, timber, and stone, encouraging Solomon to expand upon this foundation.

  • Urdu Explanation: داؤد بیان کرتا ہے کہ اپنی تمام تر مشکلات اور جنگوں کے باوجود اس نے خداوند کے گھر کے لیے بے پناہ سونا، چاندی، پیتل، لوہا اور عمارتی لکڑی جمع کی۔ وہ سلیمان کی حوصلہ افزائی کرتا ہے کہ وہ اس عظیم ذخیرے میں مزید اضافہ کرے۔

1 Chronicles 22:15

Verse: Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance hewers and workers of stone and timber and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work

  • English Explanation: David didn’t just provide materials; he organized human resources. He secured skilled laborers, stonecutters, carpenters, and expert craftsmen to ensure the technical execution of the Temple was flawless.

  • Urdu Explanation: داؤد نے نہ صرف سامان مہیا کیا بلکہ ماہر کاریگروں، سنگ تراشوں اور بڑھئیوں کا بھی انتظام کیا تاکہ ہیکل کی تعمیر کا کام مہارت کے ساتھ مکمل ہو سکے۔

1 Chronicles 22:16

Verse: Of the gold the silver and the brass and the iron there is no number Arise therefore and be doing and the LORD be with thee

  • English Explanation: The resources are so vast they are essentially unquantifiable. David gives a final charge to Solomon to stop planning and start acting, promising that God’s presence will be with him.

  • Urdu Explanation: سونا، چاندی اور دیگر دھاتیں اتنی کثرت میں ہیں کہ ان کا شمار ممکن نہیں۔ داؤد سلیمان کو حکم دیتا ہے کہ اب اٹھو اور کام شروع کرو، اور خداوند تمہارے ساتھ ہوگا۔

Verse: David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son saying

  • English Explanation: Success requires unity. David explicitly commands the national leaders and princes to provide full political and physical support to the young King Solomon.

  • Urdu Explanation: داؤد نے اسرائیل کے تمام سرداروں کو حکم دیا کہ وہ اس کے بیٹے سلیمان کی مدد کریں تاکہ ہیکل کی تعمیر میں کوئی رکاوٹ نہ آئے۔

Verse: Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand and the land is subdued before the LORD and before his people

  • English Explanation: David reminds the leaders of the current peace and political stability. Since God has subdued their enemies, they no longer have the excuse of war to delay the building of the Sanctuary.

  • Urdu Explanation: داؤد رہنماؤں کو یاد دلاتا ہے کہ خدا نے انہیں چاروں طرف سے امن بخشا ہے اور دشمنوں کو زیر کر دیا ہے۔ اب جب ملک میں سکون ہے، تو یہ خدا کا گھر بنانے کا بہترین وقت ہے۔

1 Chronicles 22:19

Verse: Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God arise therefore and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the holy vessels of God into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD

  • English Explanation: This is a call to spiritual dedication. David urges them to seek God first so that the physical building serves its true purpose: housing the Ark and the holy vessels for worship.

  • Urdu Explanation: وہ انہیں نصیحت کرتا ہے کہ اپنے دل و جان سے خدا کے طالب ہوں اور مقدس ہیکل کی تعمیر کریں تاکہ عہد کا صندوق اور پاک برتن وہاں رکھے جا سکیں اور خدا کی عبادت ہو سکے۔

Verse: So when David was old and full of days he made Solomon his son king over Israel

  • English Explanation: As David reaches the end of his life, he officially transitions the monarchy to Solomon, ensuring a peaceful succession and the continuity of the Temple project.

  • Urdu Explanation: جب داؤد بوڑھا ہو گیا، تو اس نے اپنی زندگی ہی میں اپنے بیٹے سلیمان کو اسرائیل کا بادشاہ بنا دیا تاکہ تخت کے لیے کوئی جھگڑا نہ ہو۔

Verse: And he gathered together all the princes of Israel with the priests and the Levites

  • English Explanation: To formalize the transition and the organization of the Temple, David assembles a national convention of political and religious leaders.

  • Urdu Explanation: داؤد نے اسرائیل کے تمام امراء، کاہنوں اور لاویوں کو اکٹھا کیا تاکہ سلطنت اور ہیکل کے نظام کو ترتیب دے سکے۔

Verse: Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward and their number by their polls man by man was thirty and eight thousand

Verse: Of which twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the LORD and six thousand were officers and judges

Verse: Moreover four thousand were porters and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made said David to praise therewith

  • English Explanation: 4,000 were assigned as gatekeepers (porters) and another 4,000 were dedicated musicians using instruments David himself designed for worship.

  • Urdu Explanation: چار ہزار دربان مقرر ہوئے اور چار ہزار ان سازوں کے ساتھ خدا کی حمد کرنے کے لیے مخصوص ہوئے جو داؤد نے خود تیار کروائے تھے۔

Verse: And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi namely Gershon Kohath and Merari
