پیدائش 2:1 ایک نہایت اہم آیت ہے جو تخلیق کے بیان کے اختتام کو ظاہر کرتی ہے۔ اس آیت میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو اور ان تمام چیزوں کو جو ان میں موجود ہیں، مکمل کر دیا۔

“آسمان اور زمین” کا مطلب پوری کائنات ہے۔ اس میں وہ تمام چیزیں شامل ہیں جو انسان دیکھ سکتا ہے اور وہ نظام بھی شامل ہیں جو اللہ تعالیٰ کے حکم سے قائم ہیں۔ “اور ان کا سارا لشکر” سے مراد تمام مخلوقات اور کائنات کے تمام اجزاء ہیں جو اللہ کی قدرت سے وجود میں آئے۔
