پیدائش 8:3 ایک اہم موقع کو بیان کرتی ہے جب حضرت نوح کے زمانے کے بڑے طوفان کے بعد پانی زمین سے کم ہونا شروع ہوا۔ یہ آیت بتاتی ہے کہ خدا نے اپنی مخلوق پر اختیار رکھتے ہوئے پانی کو آہستہ آہستہ واپس ہٹایا اور زمین کو دوبارہ زندگی کے قابل بنانے کا عمل شروع کیا۔
آیت کا پہلا حصہ “اور پانی زمین پر سے مسلسل واپس ہونے لگا” اس بات کی طرف اشارہ کرتا ہے کہ پانی فوراً ختم نہیں ہوا بلکہ ایک مسلسل عمل کے ذریعے کم ہوتا گیا۔ یہ خدا کے منظم طریقے اور اس کی حکمت کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔
