1 Chronicles 16:8

Verse: Give thanks unto the LORD call upon his name make known his deeds among the people

  • English Explanation: This is a call to public testimony. We are encouraged not only to feel grateful in our hearts but to actively vocalize God’s works so others may know His character.

  • Urdu Explanation: یہ آیت ہمیں خدا کا شکر ادا کرنے اور اس کے نام کو پکارنے کی دعوت دیتی ہے۔ اس کا مقصد یہ ہے کہ ہم خدا کے عظیم کاموں کا چرچا لوگوں میں کریں تاکہ وہ اس کی قدرت سے واقف ہوں۔

1 Chronicles 16:9

Verse: Sing unto him sing psalms unto him talk ye of all his wondrous works

  • English Explanation: Worship involves both music and conversation. We are told to sing praises and make God’s miracles the primary topic of our daily discussions.

  • Urdu Explanation: خدا کی حمد و ثنا گیتوں کے ذریعے کریں اور اس کے حیرت انگیز کاموں کے بارے میں باتیں کریں۔ ہماری گفتگو کا مرکز خدا کی قدرت ہونی چاہیے۔

Verse: Glory ye in his holy name let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD

  • English Explanation: True joy is found in the pursuit of God. Finding pride in His holy name brings a unique spiritual satisfaction to those who diligently seek Him.

  • Urdu Explanation: خدا کے پاک نام پر فخر کریں اور جو لوگ دل سے خدا کے طالب ہیں انہیں خوشی منانی چاہیے کیونکہ خدا کو تلاش کرنا ہی حقیقی خوشی کا باعث ہے۔

Verse: Seek the LORD and his strength seek his face continually

  • English Explanation: This emphasizes persistence. We shouldn’t just seek God in times of trouble, but constantly look for His presence and rely on His divine power rather than our own.

  • Urdu Explanation: خدا اور اس کی قوت کے طالب رہو۔ یہ آیت ہمیں سکھاتی ہے کہ ہمیں ہر وقت اور مسلسل خدا کی حضوری میں رہنے کی کوشش کرنی چاہیے۔

Verse: Remember his marvellous works that he hath done his wonders and the judgments of his mouth

  • English Explanation: Faith is built on memory. By remembering how God intervened in the past and adhering to His laws, we find the strength to face the future.

  • Urdu Explanation: ان معجزات اور فیصلوں کو یاد رکھیں جو خدا نے کیے ہیں۔ ماضی کے عجائبات کو یاد کرنا ہمارے ایمان کو مضبوط کرتا ہے۔

Verse: O ye seed of Israel his servant ye children of Jacob his chosen ones

  • Urdu Explanation: یہ کلام اسرائیل کی اولاد اور یعقوب کے بیٹوں کے لیے ہے، جنہیں خدا نے اپنی خدمت کے لیے چنا ہے۔ یہ ہمیں ہماری روحانی پہچان یاد دلاتا ہے۔

Verse: He is the LORD our God his judgments are in all the earth

Verse: Be ye mindful always of his covenant the word which he commanded to a thousand generations

  • English Explanation: God’s promises are eternal. We are urged to never forget the “Covenant”—the binding agreement God made to be faithful to His people forever.

  • Urdu Explanation: خدا کے عہد (وعدے) کو ہمیشہ یاد رکھو۔ یہ وہ کلام ہے جو ہزاروں نسلوں تک قائم رہنے کے لیے دیا گیا ہے۔

Verse: Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham and of his oath unto Isaac

  • English Explanation: This refers to the historical foundation of faith, tracing the promise back to the patriarchs Abraham and Isaac.

  • Urdu Explanation: یہ اس عہد کا ذکر ہے جو خدا نے ابراہیم سے کیا اور اس قسم کا جو اس نے اسحاق سے کھائی۔ یہ ہماری ایمانی بنیاد کی جڑ ہے۔

Verse: And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law and to Israel for an everlasting covenant

Verse: Saying Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan the lot of your inheritance

Verse: When ye were but few even a few and strangers in it

Verse: And when they went from nation to nation and from one kingdom to another people

Verse: He suffered no man to do them wrong yea he reproved kings for their sakes

Verse: Saying Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm

Verse: Sing unto the LORD all the earth shew forth from day to day his salvation

Verse: Declare his glory among the heathen his marvellous works among all nations

  • Urdu Explanation: غیر قوموں میں اس کے جلال کا اور تمام امتوں میں اس کے عجائبات کا ذکر کرو۔

Verse: For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised he also is to be feared above all gods

  • English Explanation: God’s magnitude surpasses human comprehension; He deserves more respect and reverence than any earthly or spiritual idol.

  • Urdu Explanation: کیونکہ خداوند عظیم ہے اور وہی ستائش کے لائق ہے۔ وہ تمام معبودوں سے زیادہ ہیبت ناک ہے۔

1 Chronicles 16:26

Verse: For all the gods of the people are idols but the LORD made the heavens

  • English Explanation: This contrasts man-made idols with the Creator. Idols are empty, but the Lord is the architect of the universe.

  • Urdu Explanation: دوسری قوموں کے تمام معبود محض بت ہیں، لیکن خداوند وہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں کو پیدا کیا۔

Verse: Glory and honour are in his presence strength and gladness are in his place

  • English Explanation: Being in God’s presence provides both the power to endure (strength) and the joy to thrive (gladness).

  • Urdu Explanation: اس کے حضور میں جلال اور حشمت ہے، اور اس کے مقدس مقام میں قوت اور شادمانی ہے۔

Verse: Give unto the LORD ye kindreds of the people give unto the LORD glory and strength

  • Urdu Explanation: اے دنیا کے قبیلو، خداوند کی تمجید کرو اور اس کی قدرت کا اعتراف کرو۔

Verse: Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name bring an offering and come before him worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness

Verse: Fear before him all the earth the world also shall be stable that it be not moved

  • English Explanation: God’s sovereignty provides stability to the universe. Because He reigns, the world remains secure.

  • Urdu Explanation: تمام زمین اس کے سامنے تھرتھرائے۔ اس نے دنیا کو ایسا قائم کیا ہے کہ وہ ٹل نہیں سکتی۔

Verse: Let the heavens be glad and let the earth rejoice and let men say among the nations The LORD reigneth

  • English Explanation: Creation itself celebrates God’s kingship. The central message to the nations is: “The Lord is King.”

  • Urdu Explanation: آسمان خوش ہوں اور زمین شادمان ہو، اور قوموں میں یہ کہا جائے کہ “خداوند بادشاہ ہے”۔

1 Chronicles 16:32

Verse: Let the sea roar and the fulness thereof let the fields rejoice and all that is therein

  • English Explanation: Nature is personified here, joining in a thunderous chorus of praise to its Creator.

  • Urdu Explanation: سمندر اور اس کی معموری شور مچائیں، اور میدان اور اس کی ہر چیز خوشی منائے۔

Verse: Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD because he cometh to judge the earth

1 Chronicles 16:34

Verse: O give thanks unto the LORD for he is good for his mercy endureth for ever

  • English Explanation: This is the core of the faith: God’s character is fundamentally good, and His love never runs out.

  • Urdu Explanation: خداوند کا شکر کرو کیونکہ وہ بھلا ہے اور اس کی رحمت ابدی ہے۔

Verse: And say ye Save us O God of our salvation and gather us together and deliver us from the heathen that we may give thanks to thy holy name and glory in thy praise

  • English Explanation: A prayer for unity and deliverance, asking God to bring His people together so they can worship Him without fear.

  • Urdu Explanation: یہ دعا ہے کہ “اے ہماری نجات کے خدا، ہمیں بچا اور ہمیں جمع کر تاکہ ہم تیرے پاک نام کا شکر کریں”۔

Verse: Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever And all the people said Amen and praised the LORD
