Genesis 17:16

Genesis 17:17
Verse: Then Abraham fell upon his face and laughed and said in his heart Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old and shall Sarah that is ninety years old bear English Explanation: Abraham’s laughter was a mix of wonder and disbelief. Genesis 17:18
Verse: And Abraham said unto God O that Ishmael might live before thee English Explanation: Abraham, assuming Sarah was past childbearing, pleaded for God’s blessing to be fulfilled through Ishmael, his existing son.Urdu Explanation: ابراہام نے خدا سے التجا کی کہ کاش اسماعیل ہی اس کے حضور برکت پائے اور زندہ رہے، کیونکہ وہ اسے ہی اپنا وارث سمجھ رہے تھے۔
Genesis 17:19
Verse: And God said Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed and thou shalt call his name Isaac and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his seed after him English Explanation: God corrects Abraham, confirming Sarah will bear a son named Isaac (meaning “laughter”). Genesis 17:20
Verse: And as for Ishmael I have heard thee Behold I have blessed him and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly twelve princes shall he beget and I will make him a great nation English Explanation: God answers Abraham’s prayer for Ishmael by promising him greatness, many descendants, and twelve princes as rulers.Urdu Explanation: خدا نے اسماعیل کے بارے میں بھی دعا سنی اور وعدہ کیا کہ اسے بہت زیادہ پھلدار کرے گا، اس سے بارہ شہزادے پیدا ہوں گے اور وہ ایک بڑی قوم بنے گا۔
Genesis 17:21
Verse: But my covenant will I establish with Isaac which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year English Explanation: While Ishmael is blessed, the spiritual covenant remains with Isaac, who would be born exactly one year later.Urdu Explanation: لیکن خدا نے واضح کیا کہ اس کا خاص عہد اضحاق کے ساتھ ہے جو اگلے سال اسی مقررہ وقت پر پیدا ہوگا۔

God challenges human doubt by reminding Abraham that His power has no limits.Urdu Explanation: خدا نے پوچھا “کیا خداوند کے لیے کوئی کام مشکل ہے؟” اس نے دوبارہ تاکید کی کہ مقررہ وقت پر سارہ کے ہاں بیٹا ہوگا۔
