
Joshua Chapter 6 (Verses 12–27)
Verse 12: And Joshua rose early in the morning and the priests took up the ark of the LORD

English: This highlights Joshua’s discipline and prompt obedience to God’s command. The Ark represents God’s presence leading the way.

Urdu: یہ یشوع کی نظم و ضبط اور خدا کے حکم کی فوری تعمیل کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔ عہد کا صندوق خدا کی موجودگی کی علامت تھا جو ان کی رہنمائی کر رہا تھا۔
Verse 13: And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually and blew with the trumpets and the armed men went before them but the rereward came after the ark of the LORD the priests going on and blowing with the trumpets

English: The procession was orderly. The trumpets (Shofars) symbolized a spiritual announcement of God’s sovereignty over the city.

Urdu: یہ جلوس نہایت منظم تھا۔ مینڈھوں کے سینگوں کے نرسنگے خدا کی حاکمیت کا روحانی اعلان کر رہے تھے۔
Verse 14: And the second day they compassed the city once and returned into the camp so they did six days

English: Faith often requires persistence without immediate results. For six days, they showed patient endurance.

Urdu: ایمان میں اکثر فوری نتائج کے بغیر استقامت کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے۔ چھ دن تک انہوں نے صبر اور برداشت کا مظاہرہ کیا۔
Verse 15: And it came to pass on the seventh day that they rose early about the dawning of the day and compassed the city after the same manner seven times only on that day they compassed the city seven times

English: The seventh day marked the completion. The number seven in the Bible often signifies divine perfection or completion.

Urdu: ساتواں دن کام کی تکمیل کا نشان تھا۔ بائبل میں عدد “سات” اکثر الہی کمال یا تکمیل کی علامت ہوتا ہے۔
Verse 16: And it came to pass at the seventh time when the priests blew with the trumpets Joshua said unto the people Shout for the LORD hath given you the city

English: The victory was claimed by faith through a “shout” before the walls actually fell.

Urdu: دیواریں گرنے سے پہلے ہی یشوع نے ایمان کے ساتھ فتح کا نعرہ لگانے کا حکم دیا کیونکہ خداوند نے شہر ان کے حوالے کر دیا تھا۔
Verse 17: And the city shall be accursed even it and all that are therein to the LORD only Rahab the harlot shall live she and all that are with her in the house because she hid the messengers that we sent

English: Jericho was “devoted” to destruction as a first-fruit offering. Rahab was spared due to her faith and protection of the spies.

Urdu: یریحو کو مکمل تباہی کے لیے مخصوص کیا گیا تھا۔ صرف راحب اور اس کے خاندان کو اس کے ایمان اور جاسوسوں کی مدد کی وجہ سے بچایا گیا۔
Verse 18: And ye in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing lest ye make yourselves accursed when ye take of the accursed thing and make the camp of Israel a curse and trouble it

English: A stern warning against taking forbidden items. Individual sin could bring a curse upon the entire community.

Urdu: حرام چیزوں کو چھونے سے متعلق سخت انتباہ۔ ایک فرد کا گناہ پوری قوم کے لیے لعنت اور مصیبت کا باعث بن سکتا تھا۔
Verse 19: But all the silver and gold and vessels of brass and iron are consecrated unto the LORD they shall come into the treasury of the LORD

English: Precious metals were not for personal gain but were dedicated to the service of God’s sanctuary.

Urdu: سونا چاندی اور دھاتیں ذاتی فائدے کے لیے نہیں بلکہ خدا کے خزانے اور مقدس کاموں کے لیے مخصوص تھیں۔
Verse 20: So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets and it came to pass when the people heard the sound of the trumpet and the people shouted with a great shout that the wall fell down flat so that the people went up into the city every man straight before him and they took the city

English: A miracle occurred. The physical barrier fell by divine power combined with human obedience.

Urdu: ایک معجزہ رونما ہوا۔ انسانی اطاعت اور الہی قدرت کے ملاپ سے شہر کی دیواریں زمین بوس ہوگئیں۔
Verse 21: And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city both man and woman young and old and ox and sheep and ass with the edge of the sword

English: This represents the execution of God’s judgment upon a corrupt and pagan culture.

Urdu: یہ ایک بدعنوان اور مشرک معاشرے پر خدا کے فیصلے اور سزا کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔
Verse 22: But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country Go into the harlot’s house and bring out thence the woman and all that she hath as ye sware unto her

English: Joshua honors the oath made by the spies, showing the importance of keeping one’s word.

Urdu: یشوع نے جاسوسوں کے عہد کا پاس رکھا، جو یہ ظاہر کرتا ہے کہ وعدہ نبھانا کتنا اہم ہے۔
Verse 23: And the young men that were spies went in and brought Rahab and her father and her mother and her brethren and all that she had and they brought out all her kindred and left them without the camp of Israel

English: Rahab’s entire family was saved. Initially, they were placed outside the camp for ceremonial purification.

Urdu: راحب کا پورا خاندان بچ گیا، لیکن شروع میں انہیں پاکیزگی کے عمل کے لیے لشکر گاہ سے باہر رکھا گیا۔
Verse 24: And they burnt the city with fire and all that was therein only the silver and the gold and the vessels of brass and of iron they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD

English: The total destruction of the city by fire symbolized its removal from existence, except for the dedicated treasures.

Urdu: آگ سے شہر کی مکمل تباہی اس کے وجود کے خاتمے کی علامت تھی، سوائے ان خزانوں کے جو خدا کے لیے مخصوص تھے۔
Verse 25: And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive and her father’s household and all that she had and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day because she hid the messengers which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho

English: Rahab transitioned from an outcast to a member of the covenant community.

Urdu: راحب ایک غیر قوم سے نکل کر خدا کے عہد کے لوگوں کا حصہ بن گئی۔
Verse 26: And Joshua adjured them at that time saying Cursed be the man before the LORD that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it

English: Joshua placed a prophetic curse on anyone who would rebuild the city as a fortress.

Urdu: یشوع نے اس شخص پر بد دعا کی جو اس شہر کو دوبارہ تعمیر کرے گا، جو کہ بعد میں پوری ہوئی۔
Verse 27: So the LORD was with Joshua and his fame was noised throughout all the country

English: Success came because of God’s presence, making Joshua a respected leader.

Joshua Chapter 7 (Verses 1–5)
Verse 1: But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing for Achan the son of Carmi the son of Zabdi the son of Zerah of the tribe of Judah took of the accursed thing and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel

English: Sin in the camp disrupts the relationship with God. Achan’s secret theft affected the entire nation.

Urdu: گناہ خدا کے ساتھ تعلق میں رکاوٹ بنتا ہے۔ عکن کی چوری نے پوری قوم پر خدا کے غضب کو دعوت دی۔
Verse 2: And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai which is beside Beth-aven on the east side of Bethel and spake unto them saying Go up and view the country And the men went up and viewed Ai

English: Having conquered Jericho, Joshua moves to the next target, Ai, using spies once again.

Urdu: یریحو کی فتح کے بعد، یشوع نے اگلے ہدف یعنی “عی” کی جاسوسی کے لیے آدمی بھیجے۔
Verse 3: And they returned to Joshua and said unto him Let not all the people go up but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai and make not all the people to labour thither for they are but few

English: The spies were overconfident. They relied on human numbers rather than seeking God’s specific direction for this battle.

Urdu: جاسوس ضرورت سے زیادہ پر اعتماد تھے۔ انہوں نے خدا سے مشورہ کرنے کے بجائے انسانی طاقت اور تعداد پر بھروسہ کیا۔
Verse 4: So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men and they fled before the men of Ai

English: Without God’s blessing, even a small enemy can defeat a larger force. Israel suffered a humiliating retreat.

Urdu: خدا کی برکت کے بغیر، ایک چھوٹا دشمن بھی شکست دے سکتا ہے۔ اسرائیل کو شرمناک پسپائی کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔
Verse 5: And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim and smote them in the going down wherefore the hearts of the people melted and became as water

English: The loss of life and the defeat caused a crisis of faith. Their courage vanished because they realized God was no longer fighting for them.

Urdu: جانی نقصان اور شکست نے ان کے حوصلے توڑ دیے۔ ان کا دل پانی کی طرح پگھل گیا کیونکہ انہیں احساس ہوا کہ خدا ان کے ساتھ نہیں ہے۔
