Leviticus 27:24

Verse: In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong English Explanation: This law ensures that land ownership remains within the original family tribes. During the Year of Jubilee (every 50th year), any sold land automatically reverts to its ancestral owner, preventing the permanent loss of family heritage. Urdu Explanation: جوبلی کے سال میں زمین اس شخص کو واپس مل جائے گی جس سے وہ خریدی گئی تھی یعنی اس کے اصل مالک کو۔ یہ قانون خاندانی وراثت کے تحفظ کے لیے تھا۔


Leviticus 27:25

Verse: And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary twenty gerahs shall be the shekel English Explanation: To maintain fairness and divine order, all financial valuations for vows or redemptions must use the official sanctuary shekel. It defines the standard weight: . Urdu Explanation: تمام تخمینے مقدس مقام کے سکّے (شیکل) کے مطابق ہوں گے۔ ایک شیکل بیس جیرہ کے برابر ہوتا تھا تاکہ لین دین میں دیانتداری رہے۔


Leviticus 27:26

Verse: Only the firstling of the beasts which should be the LORD’s firstling no man shall sanctify it whether it be ox or sheep it is the LORD’s English Explanation: A person cannot “dedicate” a firstborn animal to God as a special gift because it already belongs to Him by law. God already has the primary claim on the firstborn of clean animals. Urdu Explanation: جانوروں کا پہلوٹھا بچہ پہلے ہی خدا کا ہے اس لیے کوئی شخص اسے خاص منت کے طور پر وقف نہیں کر سکتا کیونکہ وہ پیدائشی طور پر ہی خداوند کا ہے۔


Leviticus 27:27

Verse: And if it be of an unclean beast then he shall redeem it according to thine estimation and shall add a fifth part of it thereto or if it be not redeemed then it shall be sold according to thy estimation English Explanation: Unclean animals (not fit for sacrifice) could be bought back by the owner at its valued price plus a 20% penalty. If not redeemed, the priest would sell it to benefit the sanctuary. Urdu Explanation: اگر جانور ناپاک ہو تو اسے مقررہ قیمت اور اس کے پانچویں حصے کے اضافے کے ساتھ واپس خریدا جا سکتا ہے۔ اگر نہیں خریدا گیا تو اسے بیچ دیا جائے گا۔


Leviticus 27:28

Verse: Notwithstanding no devoted thing that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath both of man and beast and of the field of his possession shall be sold or redeemed every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD English Explanation: This refers to things “devoted” (herem), which is an irrevocable gift. Unlike regular vows, these items or people cannot be bought back; they are permanently set apart for God. Urdu Explanation: جو چیز مکمل طور پر خداوند کے لیے مخصوص کر دی جائے اسے نہ تو بیچا جا سکتا ہے اور نہ ہی واپس خریدا جا سکتا ہے کیونکہ وہ خداوند کے لیے نہایت مقدس ہے۔


Leviticus 27:29

Verse: None devoted which shall be devoted of men shall be redeemed but shall surely be put to death English Explanation: This verse deals with things or people devoted to destruction (often in the context of divine judgment or war). Such a person could not be ransomed; the sentence was final. Urdu Explanation: کوئی بھی شخص جو ہلاکت کے لیے مخصوص کیا گیا ہو اسے چھڑایا نہیں جا سکتا بلکہ اسے موت کے گھاٹ اتار دیا جائے گا۔


Leviticus 27:30

Verse: And all the tithe of the land whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree is the LORD’s it is holy unto the LORD English Explanation: A tenth of all agricultural produce—grains and fruits—is designated as a tithe. This belongs to God and is considered holy, intended to support the Levites and the sanctuary. Urdu Explanation: زمین کی پیداوار کا دسواں حصہ چاہے وہ بیج ہو یا پھل خداوند کا ہے اور یہ خداوند کے لیے پاک ہے۔


Leviticus 27:31

Verse: And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof English Explanation: If a farmer wanted to keep his produce (the tithe) for personal use, he had to pay the monetary value plus an additional 20% surcharge. Urdu Explanation: اگر کوئی شخص اپنے عشر (دسویں حصے) کو واپس لینا چاہے تو اسے اس کی قیمت میں پانچواں حصہ مزید ملا کر ادا کرنا ہوگا۔


Leviticus 27:32

Verse: And concerning the tithe of the herd or of the flock even of whatsoever passeth under the rod the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD English Explanation: As animals passed under a counting rod, every tenth animal was marked for God. This applied to cattle, sheep, and goats regardless of their quality. Urdu Explanation: گائے بیلوں اور بھیڑ بکریوں کا دسواں حصہ جو گنتی کے لیے لاٹھی کے نیچے سے گزریں خداوند کے لیے مخصوص ہوگا۔


Leviticus 27:33

Verse: He shall not search whether it be good or bad neither shall he change it and if he change it at all then both it and the change thereof shall be holy it shall not be redeemed English Explanation: The owner was forbidden from cherry-picking the best or worst animals. If he tried to swap a designated tithe animal, both the original and the substitute became holy property of the sanctuary. Urdu Explanation: وہ اس بات کی تفتیش نہ کرے کہ جانور اچھا ہے یا برا۔ اگر اس نے بدلا تو وہ جانور اور اس کے بدلے والا دونوں ہی پاک ٹھہریں گے۔


Leviticus 27:34

Verse: These are the commandments which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai English Explanation: This concludes the Book of Leviticus, confirming that these laws regarding holiness, sacrifice, and vows were divine mandates given to Moses at Mount Sinai for Israel. Urdu Explanation: یہ وہ احکام ہیں جو خداوند نے کوہِ سینا پر موسیٰ کو بنی اسرائیل کے لیے دیے۔ یہ احبار کی کتاب کا اختتام ہے۔


Numbers 1:1

Verse: And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in the tabernacle of the congregation on the first day of the second month in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt saying English Explanation: The setting shifts to the beginning of the second year after the Exodus. God speaks to Moses within the Tabernacle, preparing the nation for the next phase of their journey. Urdu Explanation: خروج کے دوسرے سال کے دوسرے مہینے کے پہلے دن خداوند نے سینا کے بیابان میں موسیٰ سے خیمہِ اجتماع میں کلام کیا۔


Numbers 1:2

Verse: Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel after their families by the house of their fathers with the number of their names every male by their polls English Explanation: God commands a formal census. This was not just a head count but a systematic recording of every male by their family lineage and ancestral house. Urdu Explanation: بنی اسرائیل کی تمام جماعت کا شمار ان کے خاندانوں اور آبائی گھرانوں کے مطابق نام بہ نام کرو۔


Numbers 1:3

Verse: From twenty years old and upward all that are able to go forth to war in Israel thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies English Explanation: The census focused on military readiness. Only males aged 20 and older who were fit for combat were counted, organizing the nation into a structured army. Urdu Explanation: بیس برس اور اس سے زیادہ عمر کے تمام مرد جو جنگ میں جانے کے قابل ہوں ان کا شمار ان کے لشکروں کے مطابق کرو۔


Numbers 1:4

Verse: And with you there shall be a man of every tribe every one head of the house of his fathers English Explanation: To ensure accuracy and authority, one leader (a prince or head) from each of the twelve tribes was assigned to assist Moses and Aaron in the census. Urdu Explanation: تمہارے ساتھ ہر قبیلے کا ایک ایک آدمی ہو جو اپنے آبائی خاندان کا سربراہ ہو۔


Numbers 1:5 – 1:15

Verse: (Summarized List of Tribal Leaders: Elizur Shelumiel Nahshon Nethaneel Eliab Elishama Gamaliel Abidan Ahiezer Pagiel Eliasaph Ahira) English Explanation: These verses list the specific men chosen from each tribe (Reuben, Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Ephraim, Manasseh, Benjamin, Dan, Asher, Gad, and Naphtali) to lead the counting. Urdu Explanation: ان آیات میں ہر قبیلے کے چنے ہوئے سرداروں کے نام درج ہیں جو مردوں کی گنتی میں موسیٰ اور ہارون کی مدد کریں گے۔


Numbers 1:16

Verse: These were the renowned of the congregation princes of the tribes of their fathers heads of thousands in Israel English Explanation: These men were the elite leaders of the community, recognized for their status as “heads of thousands,” representing the organized social and military structure of Israel. Urdu Explanation: یہ وہ لوگ تھے جو جماعت میں مشہور تھے اور اپنے اپنے قبیلوں کے سردار اور اسرائیل کے ہزاروں کے حاکم تھے۔


Numbers 1:17

Verse: And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names English Explanation: Moses and Aaron followed the divine directive precisely, gathering the specific tribal leaders mentioned by name to begin the registration of the people. Urdu Explanation: چنانچہ موسیٰ اور ہارون نے ان نامزد آدمیوں کو اپنے ساتھ لیا تاکہ وہ خدا کے حکم کی تعمیل کر سکیں۔
