
Numbers Chapter 24: The Final Parables
Verse 24:20

Verse: And when he looked on Amalek he took up his parable and said Amalek was the first of the nations but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever

English Explanation: Balaam identifies Amalek as a primary power among the nations of that time. However, because of their opposition to God’s people, their destiny is total destruction.

Urdu Explanation: بلعام نے عمالیق کی طرف دیکھ کر پیشگوئی کی کہ اگرچہ عمالیق قوموں میں اول تھا لیکن اس کا انجام ابدی ہلاکت ہے۔
Verse 24:21

Verse: And he looked on the Kenites and took up his parable and said Strong is thy dwellingplace and thou puttest thy nest in a rock

English Explanation: The Kenites lived in rugged, mountainous areas. Balaam acknowledges their seemingly secure physical defenses.

Urdu Explanation: قینیوں کے بارے میں اس نے کہا کہ تمہارا مسکن مضبوط ہے اور تم نے چٹان میں اپنا آشیانہ بنایا ہے۔
Verse 24:22

Verse: Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted until Asshur shall carry thee away captive

English Explanation: Despite their strongholds, the Kenites would eventually be consumed and taken away by the rising power of Assyria (Asshur).

Urdu Explanation: اس کے باوجود قینی برباد ہو جائیں گے یہاں تک کہ اسور انہیں اسیر کر کے لے جائے گا۔
Verse 24:23

Verse: And he took up his parable and said Alas who shall live when God doeth this

English Explanation: An exclamation of awe regarding the terrifying nature of God’s future judgments on the nations.

Urdu Explanation: اس نے کہا کہ ہائے افسوس! جب خدا یہ سب کچھ کرے گا تو کون زندہ رہے گا؟
Verse 24:24

Verse: And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim and shall afflict Asshur and shall afflict Eber and he also shall perish for ever

English Explanation: Prophesying the arrival of western powers (Chittim/Greece/Rome) that would overthrow the eastern empires, showing that all worldly empires eventually fall.

Urdu Explanation: کتم کے ساحلوں سے جہاز آئیں گے جو اسور اور عبر کو دکھ دیں گے اور وہ بھی ہمیشہ کے لیے ہلاک ہو جائیں گے۔
Verse 24:25

Verse: And Balaam rose up and went and returned to his place and Balak also went his way

English Explanation: The encounter between the prophet and the king ends; they part ways without the curse Balak desired.

Urdu Explanation: بلعام اٹھا اور اپنے مقام کو لوٹ گیا اور بالق بھی اپنے راستے چلا گیا۔
Numbers Chapter 25: Sin at Baal-peor
Verse 25:1

Verse: And Israel abode in Shittim and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab

English Explanation: While camped at Shittim, the Israelites were lured into moral and spiritual compromise by Moabite women.

Urdu Explanation: بنی اسرائیل شطیم میں ٹھہرے ہوئے تھے کہ انہوں نے موآب کی بیٹیوں کے ساتھ بدکاری شروع کر دی۔
Verse 25:2

Verse: And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods and the people did eat and bowed down to their gods

English Explanation: This was a trap to lead Israel into idolatry through social and religious feasts dedicated to false gods.

Urdu Explanation: ان عورتوں نے لوگوں کو اپنے معبودوں کی قربانیوں پر بلایا اور لوگوں نے وہاں کھایا اور ان کے معبودوں کو سجدہ کیا۔
Verse 25:3

Verse: And Israel joined himself unto Baal-peor and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel

English Explanation: By participating in the worship of Baal, Israel broke their covenant with God, provoking His divine wrath.

Urdu Explanation: اسرائیل بعل فغور کا پیروکار بن گیا جس سے خداوند کا غضب اسرائیل پر بھڑک اٹھا۔
Verse 25:4

Verse: And the LORD said unto Moses Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the LORD against the sun that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel

English Explanation: God commanded the public execution of the leaders who permitted or led this rebellion to cleanse the nation.

Urdu Explanation: خداوند نے موسیٰ سے کہا کہ قوم کے سرداروں کو پکڑ کر خداوند کے سامنے سرِ عام لٹکا دے تاکہ غصہ ٹھنڈا ہو سکے۔
Verse 25:5

Verse: And Moses said unto the judges of Israel Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baal-peor

English Explanation: Moses instructs the judges to carry out the sentence on those who had turned to idolatry.

Urdu Explanation: موسیٰ نے اسرائیل کے قاضیوں سے کہا کہ تم میں سے ہر ایک ان آدمیوں کو قتل کرے جو بعل فغور کے ساتھ ملے ہوئے تھے۔
Verse 25:6

Verse: And behold one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation

English Explanation: An Israelite man flagrantly disobeyed by bringing a Midianite woman into the camp while the nation was in mourning and repentance.

Urdu Explanation: ایک اسرائیلی شخص سب کے سامنے ایک مدیانی عورت کو اپنے بھائیوں کے پاس لے آیا جبکہ سب خیمہِ اجتماع کے سامنے رو رہے تھے۔
Verse 25:7-8

Verse: And when Phinehas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest saw it he rose up from among the congregation and took a javelin in his hand And he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through the man of Israel and the woman through her belly So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel

English Explanation: Phinehas took immediate action to stop the public sin. His act of zeal stopped the plague that was killing the people.

Urdu Explanation: فینحاس نے نیزہ لے کر اس مرد اور عورت کو قتل کر دیا جس کے نتیجے میں بنی اسرائیل سے وہ وبا رک گئی۔
Verse 25:9

Verse: And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand

English Explanation: The severity of the sin is highlighted by the massive loss of life due to the plague.

Verse 25:10-13

Verse: Phinehas… hath turned my wrath away… I give unto him my covenant of peace… even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood

English Explanation: Because Phinehas defended God’s holiness, his lineage was granted a permanent priesthood and a covenant of peace.

Urdu Explanation: فینحاس نے میری غیرت کو ظاہر کیا اس لیے میں اسے سلامتی کا عہد اور ابدی کہانت کا عہد دیتا ہوں۔
Verse 25:14-15

Verse: Now the name of the Israelite that was slain… was Zimri… And the name of the Midianitish woman… was Cozbi

English Explanation: The Bible identifies the offenders as high-ranking individuals, showing that even leaders are not exempt from judgment.

Urdu Explanation: مقتول اسرائیلی کا نام زمری تھا اور مدیانی عورت کا نام کذبی تھا جو اپنے قبیلے کے سردار کی بیٹی تھی۔
Verse 25:16-18

Verse: Vex the Midianites and smite them For they vex you with their wiles

English Explanation: God orders Israel to treat the Midianites as enemies because they used deception to lead Israel into sin.

Urdu Explanation: خداوند نے حکم دیا کہ مدیانیوں کو اپنا دشمن سمجھو اور انہیں مارو کیونکہ انہوں نے تمہیں دھوکے سے گناہ میں ڈالا۔
Numbers Chapter 26: The Second Census
Verse 26:1-2

Verse: Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel from twenty years old and upward… all that are able to go to war

English Explanation: After the plague, a new census is ordered to prepare the new generation for the conquest of the Promised Land.

Urdu Explanation: وبا کے بعد خداوند نے حکم دیا کہ اسرائیل کی نئی نسل کی مردم شماری کی جائے جو جنگ کے لائق ہوں۔
Verse 26:3-4

Verse: And Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them in the plains of Moab… Take the sum of the people

English Explanation: The census takes place on the plains of Moab, just across from Jericho, marking the final stage of their journey.

Urdu Explanation: موسیٰ اور الیعزر نے موآب کے میدانوں میں لوگوں کو جمع کیا تاکہ ان کا شمار کیا جا سکے۔
Verse 26:5-6

Verse: Reuben the eldest son of Israel… Hanoch… Pallu… Hezron… Carmi

English Explanation: The record begins with the tribe of Reuben, listing the families that descended from his sons.

Urdu Explanation: روبن جو اسرائیل کا پہلوٹھا تھا اس کے بیٹوں سے حنوکیوں، فلوئیوں، حصرویوں اور کرمیوں کے خاندان پیدا ہوئے۔
