The phrase “God remembered” does not mean that God had forgotten Noah and suddenly recalled him. God is all-knowing and never loses awareness of His creation. In the Bible, when it says that God “remembered” someone, it means that God turned His attention toward that person with care, mercy, and action. It shows that God was faithful to His promise and was now bringing Noah and the creatures in the ark toward restoration.
Noah had spent a long time inside the ark while surrounded by floodwaters. He had obeyed God’s command to build the ark, gather his family, and preserve the animals. Although Noah was protected from destruction, he still faced a difficult period of waiting. He did not know exactly when the waters would disappear or when he would step onto dry land again. “اور God نے نوح کو یاد کیا…”
یہاں “God نے یاد کیا” کا مطلب یہ نہیں کہ God نوح کو بھول گئے تھے اور پھر اچانک انہیں یاد آیا۔ God ہر چیز کو جاننے والے ہیں اور اپنی مخلوق سے ہمیشہ باخبر رہتے ہیں۔ بائبل میں جب کہا جاتا ہے کہ God نے کسی کو یاد کیا تو اس کا مطلب ہوتا ہے کہ God نے اپنی رحمت، محبت اور وعدے کے مطابق اس شخص کی طرف خاص توجہ فرمائی اور اس کے لیے عمل کیا۔
