Jonah 1:7 takes place during a terrifying storm at sea. Jonah had received a command from God to go to Nineveh and preach against its wickedness, but instead of obeying, he attempted to flee from the presence of the LORD by traveling toward Tarshish. While Jonah was on the ship, the LORD sent a great wind upon the sea, producing such a powerful storm that the sailors feared the ship would be destroyed.

یہ آیت ہمیں یہ بھی یاد دلاتی ہے کہ جب مشکل حالات ہماری زندگی کو روک دیتے ہیں تو ہمیں اپنے راستے کا جائزہ لینا چاہیے۔ ہر مشکل کو ذاتی گناہ کی سزا سمجھنا درست نہیں، لیکن مشکل حالات ہمیں اپنے فیصلوں اور اپنے تعلق کو خدا کے ساتھ جانچنے کا موقع دے سکتے ہیں۔
