The first instruction is: “Building up yourselves on your most holy faith.” This phrase describes spiritual growth as a process of construction. Just as a building becomes stronger when it has a strong foundation and careful development, a believer becomes spiritually mature by growing in faith. Faith is not something that remains unchanged; it needs to be strengthened through learning God’s Word, trusting His promises, obeying His commands, and developing a deeper relationship with Him.

The phrase “most holy faith” refers to the true faith given through God’s truth. It is not based on human ideas or temporary feelings but on the teachings of Scripture and the work of God in the life of believers.
