ملکی 3:3 میں خدا کے کام کو ایک ایسے سنار یا دھات صاف کرنے والے شخص سے تشبیہ دی گئی ہے جو چاندی اور سونے کو آگ میں ڈال کر ان کی میل کچیل دور کرتا ہے۔
قدیم زمانے میں چاندی یا سونا جب زمین سے نکالا جاتا تھا تو اس میں دوسری دھاتیں اور impurities شامل ہوتی تھیں۔ اسے خالص بنانے کے لیے حرارت دی جاتی تھی۔ سنار کا مقصد سونے یا چاندی کو تباہ کرنا نہیں بلکہ اسے زیادہ خالص اور قیمتی بنانا ہوتا تھا۔
