Revelation 22:12 contains a powerful message from Jesus about His coming, His reward, and the accountability of every person before God. Scripture teaches believers to remain spiritually prepared because the exact timing of Christ’s return is not given to humanity. The important lesson is not to calculate the date but to live faithfully while waiting for Him.

This message has practical importance for Christians today. Waiting for Christ should not produce fear or inactivity. Instead, it should encourage faithfulness, holiness, love, obedience, patience, and service. A believer who expects Christ to come should seek to live in a way that honors Him every day.

“My reward is with me”

The second important statement is “and my reward is with me.” Jesus presents Himself as the One who brings the appropriate outcome for human life. The Bible repeatedly teaches that God sees what people do, knows the motives of the heart, and ultimately brings justice.

A message of hope and accountability

For faithful believers, the coming of Christ is hopeful. Jesus is not absent forever. He promises to come. His return means that God’s purposes will reach their appointed fulfillment.

For those who live in rebellion against God, the verse is a warning. Human beings cannot avoid ultimate accountability forever. Earthly courts can make mistakes, people can hide their actions, and injustice may sometimes appear to succeed, but God’s final judgment is perfectly righteous.

The verse also reminds us that God does not forget faithful service. Even when people do not notice what someone does for God, nothing is hidden from Him. The Lord sees the faithful heart and the work that flows from it.

مسیح کی آمد کا ذکر صرف عدالت کے حوالے سے نہیں بلکہ امید کے حوالے سے بھی ہے۔ کتابِ مکاشفہ کے آخری ابواب خدا کی فتح، نئی تخلیق، مقدس شہر اور خدا کی اپنے لوگوں کے ساتھ دائمی حضوری کی تصویر پیش کرتے ہیں۔

لہٰذا مسیحی کے لیے مسیح کی آمد خوف کی بجائے امید کا پیغام بھی ہے۔ یسوع اپنے لوگوں کو نہیں بھولے۔ وہ واپس آنے کا وعدہ کرتے ہیں۔

یہ امید ایماندار کو موجودہ مشکلات میں ثابت قدم رہنے میں مدد دیتی ہے۔ دنیا کے حالات ہمیشہ ایک جیسے نہیں رہیں گے۔ خدا کی بادشاہی اور اس کے وعدے آخری حقیقت ہیں۔

اعمال اور خدا کی عدالت
