Genesis 7:10
Verse: And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were upon the earth English Explanation: After the seven-day period of grace or waiting, the predicted judgment finally began as water covered the land. Urdu Explanation: سات دن کے انتظار کے بعد، آخرکار وہ سیلاب زمین پر آ گیا جس کی پیشگوئی کی گئی تھی۔
Genesis 7:11
Verse: In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life in the second month the seventeenth day of the month the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up and the windows of heaven were opened English Explanation: This verse gives a precise date. The flood wasn’t just rain; subterranean water sources burst open while torrential rain fell from above. Urdu Explanation: یہاں سیلاب کے آغاز کی درست تاریخ بتائی گئی ہے۔ یہ صرف بارش نہ تھی بلکہ زمین کے اندرونی چشمے پھوٹ پڑے اور آسمان کے دریچے کھل گئے۔
Genesis 7:12
Verse: And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights English Explanation: The initial period of continuous, heavy rainfall lasted for exactly forty days and nights. Urdu Explanation: زمین پر مسلسل اور شدید بارش کا سلسلہ چالیس دن اور چالیس راتوں تک جاری رہا۔
Genesis 7:13
Verse: In the selfsame day entered Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth the sons of Noah and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them into the ark English Explanation: Noah and his family entered the safety of the ark on the very day the flood started, highlighting God’s perfect timing. Urdu Explanation: نوح اور اس کا خاندان ٹھیک اسی دن کشتی میں داخل ہوئے جب سیلاب شروع ہوا، جو خدا کے وقت کی کاملیت کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔
Genesis 7:14
Verse: They and every beast after his kind and all the cattle after their kind and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind and every fowl after his kind every bird of every sort English Explanation: Every category of land animal and bird was represented in the ark, preserved according to their biological “kinds.” Urdu Explanation: ہر قسم کے زمینی جانور اور پرندے کشتی میں موجود تھے تاکہ ان کی نسلوں کو محفوظ رکھا جا سکے۔
Genesis 7:15
Verse: And they went in unto Noah into the ark two and two of all flesh wherein is the breath of life English Explanation: The animals came to Noah in pairs, signifying a divine orchestration rather than Noah having to hunt them down. Urdu Explanation: جانور جوڑوں کی صورت میں نوح کے پاس کشتی میں آئے، جو اس بات کا ثبوت ہے کہ یہ خدا کی طرف سے ایک معجزہ تھا۔
Genesis 7:16
Verse: And they that went in went in male and female of all flesh as God had commanded him and the LORD shut him in English Explanation: Once everyone was inside, God Himself sealed the door, ensuring total protection for those inside and finality for those outside. Urdu Explanation: جب سب اندر چلے گئے تو خدا نے خود دروازہ بند کر دیا، جو اندر والوں کے لیے تحفظ اور باہر والوں کے لیے فیصلے کی علامت تھا۔
Genesis 7:17
Verse: And the flood was forty days upon the earth and the waters increased and bare up the ark and it was lift up above the earth English Explanation: As the water volume grew over forty days, the ark began to float, rising high above the ground. Urdu Explanation: جیسے جیسے چالیس دنوں میں پانی بڑھتا گیا، کشتی زمین سے اوپر اٹھ کر پانی پر تیرنے لگی۔
Genesis 7:18
Verse: And the waters prevailed and were increased greatly upon the earth and the ark went upon the face of the waters English Explanation: The floodwaters became so powerful and deep that the ark moved freely across the surface of the vast ocean. Urdu Explanation: پانی اس قدر طاقتور اور گہرا ہو گیا کہ کشتی وسیع سمندر کی سطح پر آزادانہ طور پر چلنے لگی۔
Genesis 7:19
Verse: And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth and all the high hills that were under the whole heaven were covered English Explanation: The flood was global, reaching such a height that even the tallest hills across the world were submerged. Urdu Explanation: یہ سیلاب عالمی تھا، پانی اتنا بلند ہوا کہ آسمان کے نیچے موجود تمام اونچی پہاڑیاں بھی اس میں ڈوب گئیں۔
Genesis 7:20
Verse: Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail and the mountains were covered English Explanation: The water rose approximately 22 feet (15 cubits) above the highest mountain peaks. Urdu Explanation: پانی بلند ترین پہاڑوں کی چوٹیوں سے بھی تقریباً 22 فٹ اوپر تک پہنچ گیا۔
Genesis 7:21
Verse: And all flesh died that moved upon the earth both of fowl and of cattle and of beast and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth and every man English Explanation: Every living creature on land that was not in the ark perished in the flood. Urdu Explanation: زمین پر موجود ہر جاندار، جو کشتی میں شامل نہیں تھا، اس سیلاب میں ہلاک ہو گیا۔
Genesis 7:22
Verse: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life of all that was in the dry land died English Explanation: This emphasizes the total loss of life for all air-breathing land animals outside the ark. Urdu Explanation: یہ آیت اس بات پر زور دیتی ہے کہ خشک زمین پر سانس لینے والا ہر جاندار جو کشتی سے باہر تھا، مر گیا۔
Genesis 7:23
Verse: And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground both man and cattle and the creeping things and the fowl of the heaven and they were destroyed from the earth and Noah only remained alive and they that were with him in the ark English Explanation: Only Noah and his companions in the ark survived; everything else on the earth’s surface was wiped away. Urdu Explanation: صرف نوح اور اس کے ساتھی جو کشتی میں تھے زندہ رہے؛ باقی سب کچھ زمین کی سطح سے مٹ گیا۔
Genesis 7:24
Verse: And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days English Explanation: The floodwaters maintained their maximum depth and dominance over the earth for 150 days. Urdu Explanation: سیلاب کا پانی 150 دنوں تک زمین پر پوری طرح چھایا رہا۔
Chapter 8
Genesis 8:1
Verse: And God remembered Noah and every living thing and all the cattle that was with him in the ark and God made a wind to pass over the earth and the waters asswaged English Explanation: “God remembered” means He acted on His promise. He sent a wind to begin the process of evaporation and receding. Urdu Explanation: “خدا نے نوح کو یاد کیا” کا مطلب ہے کہ اس نے اپنے وعدے پر عمل کیا۔ اس نے ہوا چلائی تاکہ پانی کم ہونا شروع ہو جائے۔
Genesis 8:2
Verse: The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped and the rain from heaven was restrained English Explanation: The sources of the flood were closed off, stopping the inflow of water from both the ground and the sky. Urdu Explanation: سیلاب کے ذرائع بند کر دیے گئے، زمین کے چشمے اور آسمان کی بارش دونوں رک گئے۔
Genesis 8:3
Verse: And the waters returned from off the earth continually and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated English Explanation: The water began to recede steadily from the land after the initial 150-day period ended. Urdu Explanation: 150 دن پورے ہونے کے بعد زمین سے پانی آہستہ آہستہ اور مسلسل کم ہونا شروع ہوا۔
Genesis 8:4
Verse: And the ark rested in the seventh month on the seventeenth day of the month upon the mountains of Ararat English Explanation: Exactly five months after the flood started, the ark landed in the mountain range of Ararat. Urdu Explanation: سیلاب شروع ہونے کے ٹھیک پانچ ماہ بعد، کشتی ارارات کے پہاڑی سلسلے میں جا ٹھہری۔
Genesis 8:5
Verse: And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month in the tenth month on the first day of the month were the tops of the mountains seen English Explanation: The water continued to drop for several months until the mountain peaks finally became visible. Urdu Explanation: کئی مہینوں تک پانی کم ہوتا رہا یہاں تک کہ پہاڑوں کی چوٹیاں نظر آنے لگیں۔
Genesis 8:6
Verse: And it came to pass at the end of forty days that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made English Explanation: Forty days after the mountain tops appeared, Noah opened a window to observe the environment. Urdu Explanation: پہاڑوں کی چوٹیاں نظر آنے کے چالیس دن بعد، نوح نے حالات کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے کشتی کی کھڑکی کھولی۔
Genesis 8:7
Verse: And he sent forth a raven which went forth to and fro until the waters were dried up from off the earth English Explanation: Noah sent a raven first; it flew back and forth, likely feeding on floating remains until the land dried. Urdu Explanation: نوح نے پہلے ایک کوّا بھیجا جو زمین خشک ہونے تک ادھر ادھر اڑتا رہا۔
Genesis 8:8
Verse: Also he sent forth a dove from him to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground English Explanation: Noah then used a dove, a bird that seeks clean, dry ground, to test if the earth was habitable. Urdu Explanation: نوح نے پھر ایک کبوتر بھیجا تاکہ یہ معلوم کر سکے کہ کیا زمین رہنے کے قابل ہو گئی ہے یا نہیں۔
Genesis 8:9
Verse: But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot and she returned unto him into the ark for the waters were on the face of the whole earth then he put forth his hand and took her and pulled her in unto him into the ark English Explanation: The land was still too wet for the dove, so it returned to the safety of the ark. Urdu Explanation: زمین ابھی بہت گیلی تھی، اس لیے کبوتر کو بیٹھنے کی جگہ نہ ملی اور وہ واپس کشتی میں آ گیا۔
Genesis 8:10
Verse: And he stayed yet other seven days and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark English Explanation: Noah patiently waited another week before trying again, showing his reliance on God’s timing. Urdu Explanation: نوح نے صبر سے ایک ہفتہ مزید انتظار کیا اور پھر دوبارہ کبوتر کو باہر بھیجا۔
Genesis 8:11
Verse: And the dove came in to him in the evening and lo in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth English Explanation: The olive leaf proved that trees were growing again and that the water level had dropped significantly. Urdu Explanation: کبوتر کا زیتون کی پتی کے ساتھ واپس آنا اس بات کا ثبوت تھا کہ درخت دوبارہ اگ رہے ہیں اور پانی کافی کم ہو گیا ہے۔
Genesis 8:12
Verse: And he stayed yet other seven days and sent forth the dove which returned not again unto him any more English Explanation: After one more week, the dove found a permanent place to stay on land, signaling it was safe to leave soon. Urdu Explanation: ایک ہفتے بعد جب کبوتر واپس نہ آیا، تو یہ اشارہ تھا کہ زمین اب جانداروں کے رہنے کے لیے تیار ہے۔
Genesis 8:13
Verse: And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year in the first month the first day of the month the waters were dried up from off the earth and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked and behold the face of the ground was dry English Explanation: On his 601st birthday, Noah saw that the surface of the ground was finally visible and no longer covered by water. Urdu Explanation: اپنی 601ویں سالگرہ کے موقع پر، نوح نے دیکھا کہ زمین کی سطح اب پانی سے خالی ہو چکی ہے۔
Genesis 8:14
Verse: And in the second month on the seven and twentieth day of the month was the earth dried English Explanation: It took nearly two more months for the earth to be completely dry and firm enough to support life. Urdu Explanation: زمین کو مکمل طور پر خشک اور سخت ہونے میں تقریباً دو ماہ مزید لگے۔
Genesis 8:15
Verse: And God spake unto Noah saying English Explanation: God communicated directly with Noah, giving him the official command to exit. Urdu Explanation: خدا نے براہِ راست نوح سے کلام کیا اور اسے کشتی سے باہر آنے کا حکم دیا۔
Genesis 8:16
Verse: Go forth of the ark thou and thy wife and thy sons and thy sons’ wives with thee English Explanation: The entire family was invited to step out into the new, cleansed world. Urdu Explanation: پورے خاندان کو اس نئی اور پاک صاف دنیا میں قدم رکھنے کی دعوت دی گئی۔
Genesis 8:17
Verse: Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee of all flesh both of fowl and of cattle and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth that they may breed abundantly in the earth and be fruitful and multiply upon the earth English Explanation: The purpose of the survival was to repopulate the earth and restore biological diversity. Urdu Explanation: زندگی کو بچانے کا مقصد یہ تھا کہ زمین پر دوبارہ نسل انسانی اور جانوروں کی کثرت ہو سکے۔
Genesis 8:18
Verse: And Noah went forth and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him English Explanation: Noah obeyed God immediately and led his family out of the vessel that had saved them. Urdu Explanation: نوح نے فوراً خدا کے حکم کی تعمیل کی اور اپنے خاندان کو کشتی سے باہر لے آیا۔
Genesis 8:19
Verse: Every beast every creeping thing and every fowl and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth after their kinds went forth out of the ark English Explanation: All the animals exited the ark, organized by their respective species, to find new homes. Urdu Explanation: تمام جانور اپنی اپنی اقسام کے مطابق کشتی سے باہر نکلے تاکہ نئی جگہوں پر اپنی بستی بسائیں۔
Genesis 8:20
Verse: And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD and took of every clean beast and of every clean fowl and offered burnt offerings on the altar English Explanation: Noah’s first act in the new world was worship, showing his gratitude to God for their salvation. Urdu Explanation: نئی دنیا میں نوح کا پہلا کام عبادت تھا، جس سے اس نے اپنی نجات پر خدا کا شکر ادا کیا۔
