Chapter 8 (Conclusion)

Genesis 8:22

Verse: While the earth remaineth seedtime and harvest and cold and heat and summer and winter and day and night shall not cease English Explanation: God promises that as long as the earth exists, the natural cycles of seasons and time will remain stable. This provides a sense of security for agriculture and human life. Urdu Explanation: خدا وعدہ کرتا ہے کہ جب تک زمین باقی ہے، موسموں کا تغیر و تبدل، بیج بونا اور فصل کاٹنا، اور دن رات کا سلسلہ کبھی ختم نہیں ہوگا۔ یہ انسانی زندگی اور زراعت کے لیے ایک مستقل بھروسہ ہے۔


Chapter 9

Genesis 9:1

Verse: And God blessed Noah and his sons and said unto them Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth English Explanation: God gives the same mandate to Noah that He gave to Adam: to fill the earth with people and restore the human population. Urdu Explanation: خدا نے نوح اور اس کے بیٹوں کو برکت دی اور وہی حکم دیا جو آدم کو دیا تھا: یعنی پھلو پھولو اور زمین کو اپنی نسل سے بھر دو۔

Genesis 9:2

Verse: And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every fowl of the air upon all that moveth upon the earth and upon all the fishes of the sea into your hand are they delivered English Explanation: A change in the relationship between humans and animals is established; animals will now instinctively fear humans. Urdu Explanation: انسانوں اور جانوروں کے درمیان تعلق بدل گیا؛ اب تمام جانور اور پرندے انسان سے ڈریں گے اور وہ انسان کے قبضے میں دے دیے گئے۔

Genesis 9:3

Verse: Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you even as the green herb have I given you all things English Explanation: For the first time, God explicitly grants permission for humans to eat meat, expanding the diet beyond just plants. Urdu Explanation: پہلی بار خدا نے انسانوں کو گوشت کھانے کی اجازت دی، بالکل ویسے ہی جیسے پہلے صرف سبزہ اور پودے کھانے کی اجازت تھی۔

Genesis 9:4

Verse: But flesh with the life thereof which is the blood thereof shall ye not eat English Explanation: While meat is allowed, eating blood is forbidden because blood represents the sacred “life” of the creature. Urdu Explanation: گوشت کھانے کی اجازت تو ہے لیکن خون کھانے سے منع کیا گیا ہے، کیونکہ خون جان کی علامت اور مقدس سمجھا جاتا ہے۔

Genesis 9:5

Verse: And surely your blood of your lives will I require at the hand of every beast will I require it and at the hand of man at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man English Explanation: God establishes the sanctity of human life. He will hold both animals and humans accountable for the murder of a human being. Urdu Explanation: خدا نے انسانی جان کی حرمت قائم کی۔ اگر کوئی جانور یا انسان کسی انسان کا خون بہائے گا، تو خدا اس کا حساب لے گا۔

Genesis 9:6

Verse: Whoso sheddeth man’s blood by man shall his blood be shed for in the image of God made he man English Explanation: This verse introduces the principle of capital punishment. Since humans are made in God’s image, taking a life is an offense against God. Urdu Explanation: جو کوئی انسان کا خون بہائے گا، اس کا خون بھی انسان کے ہاتھوں بہایا جائے گا، کیونکہ انسان کو خدا کی صورت پر بنایا گیا ہے۔

Genesis 9:7

Verse: And you be ye fruitful and multiply bring forth abundantly in the earth and multiply therein English Explanation: God repeats the instruction to multiply, emphasizing the start of a new chapter for humanity. Urdu Explanation: خدا دوبارہ تاکید کرتا ہے کہ نسل بڑھاؤ اور زمین پر کثرت سے آباد ہو جاؤ۔

Genesis 9:8–11

Verse: And God spake unto Noah and to his sons with him saying And I behold I establish my covenant with you and with your seed after you And with every living creature that is with you… neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth English Explanation: God establishes an unconditional covenant with all living things, promising never to destroy the entire earth with a flood again. Urdu Explanation: خدا نے نوح اور تمام جانداروں کے ساتھ ایک غیر مشروط عہد کیا کہ اب کبھی بھی زمین کو سیلاب کے ذریعے تباہ نہیں کیا جائے گا۔

Genesis 9:12–17

Verse: And God said This is the token of the covenant… I do set my bow in the cloud and it shall be for a token of a covenant… English Explanation: The rainbow is designated as the visible “token” or sign of God’s promise. It serves as a reminder of His mercy. Urdu Explanation: قوسِ قزح (دھنک) کو اس عہد کی نشانی قرار دیا گیا۔ یہ خدا کے رحم اور اس کے وعدے کی یاد دہانی ہے۔

Genesis 9:18–19

Verse: And the sons of Noah that went forth of the ark were Shem and Ham and Japheth… of them was the whole earth overspread English Explanation: These three sons are the ancestors of all modern human ethnicities and nations. Urdu Explanation: نوح کے ان تین بیٹوں سے ہی تمام زمین کی نسلیں اور قومیں نکلی ہیں۔

Genesis 9:20–23

Verse: And Noah began to be an husbandman and he planted a vineyard And he drank of the wine and was drunken… And Shem and Japheth took a garment… and covered the nakedness of their father English Explanation: This incident shows the vulnerability of Noah and the differing characters of his sons. Ham acted disrespectfully, while Shem and Japheth showed honor. Urdu Explanation: یہ واقعہ نوح کی کمزوری اور اس کے بیٹوں کے مختلف کردار کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔ حام نے بے ادبی کی، جبکہ سام اور یافت نے عزت کا مظاہرہ کیا۔

Genesis 9:24–27

Verse: And Noah awoke from his wine… And he said Cursed be Canaan… Blessed be the LORD God of Shem… God shall enlarge Japheth English Explanation: Noah utters prophetic words over his sons’ lineages, affecting the future history of the nations descending from them. Urdu Explanation: نوح نے بیدار ہونے کے بعد اپنے بیٹوں کے لیے نبوتی الفاظ کہے، جس نے ان سے نکلنے والی قوموں کی مستقبل کی تاریخ پر اثر ڈالا۔

Genesis 9:28–29

Verse: And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years and he died English Explanation: Noah lived long enough to see the world repopulate before passing away at a very advanced age. Urdu Explanation: نوح سیلاب کے بعد 350 سال مزید زندہ رہے اور 950 سال کی عمر میں وفات پائی۔


Chapter 10

Genesis 10:1

Verse: Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah Shem Ham and Japheth and unto them were sons born after the flood English Explanation: This begins the “Table of Nations,” tracing how the world was repopulated after the great deluge. Urdu Explanation: یہاں سے “قوموں کا جدول” شروع ہوتا ہے، جو یہ بتاتا ہے کہ سیلاب کے بعد دنیا دوبارہ کیسے آباد ہوئی۔

Genesis 10:2–5

Verse: The sons of Japheth Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan… By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands… English Explanation: The descendants of Japheth generally moved toward Europe and parts of Asia, dividing into different languages and territories. Urdu Explanation: یافت کی اولاد عام طور پر یورپ اور ایشیا کے حصوں کی طرف ہجرت کر گئی اور مختلف زبانوں اور علاقوں میں تقسیم ہوگئی۔
